The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in the state of California he was 55 years old.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The renowned industry figure died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"This is a devastating loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and all those touched by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
