Indianapolis Colts Take On Atlanta Falcons in German Capital – Week 10 NFL Action

Guten tag, football enthusiasts. Wie gehts? Everything good I trust on this excellent morning kickoff to week 10 coming directly from Germany. Berlin's Olympic Stadium to be precise where at 9:30 AM EST and 2:30 PM GMT the powerful Indianapolis Colts (seven wins and two losses) face off against the Falcons (3-5). This marks the fifth matchup played on German soil and the initial in the nation’s capital.

Pregame Key Moments

When it comes to glittering attire that is an real standout from the Olympic figure skater on the coin toss. A slight fluff from the broadcast team there as we hear “who won the toss?” from the commentator with an accidentally live microphone.

Well, the coin toss went to Indianapolis and have elected to receive. Daniel Jones and company will be taking the field soon. Will the QB bounce back after a rough one in Pittsburgh?

In a similar vein the vocalist performing the Star Spangled Banner has some of the largest shoulder pads you are bound to notice. The fashion picks are impressive today. The game is about to start after a choir performance for the German anthem. Classy.

First Quarter Action

Scoreless at 13:30 in the first

And we're off! And we have an exciting start after the Colts running back receives a short throw, sweeps out for 15 yards to the right then fumbles … only for his center to save his bacon with the recovery. Indianapolis quickly moves into Atlanta's half.

Colts 0-0 Falcons 10:51, 1st quarter

And the drama keeps coming as the Indianapolis attempts a fourth-down conversion. The risk doesn't work out as the wide receiver cannot reel in a fastball from the quarterback. Prior to the failed attempt the Falcons defender put a massive tackle on tight end Mo Alie-Cox. Atlanta's defense started strong as they try and snap their three-game losing streak. Next up Sauce Garner’s debut!

Score Updates

TOUCHDOWN! Colts 6-0 Falcons 8:36, 1st quarter

Was that a missed touchdown by Kyle Pitts? The Falcons player makes a crucial error, he was very open but the ball just slips through his grasp. That moment reflects the high draft pick's professional journey to date.

A disappointing start but it only gets worse for the Atlanta as they turn over possession to the Colts on the 23-yard line. The Falcons quarterback is sacked and fumbles the football.

An agile 22-yard rush from the Colts receiver sets the running back up to roll in for the score on the following play. The placekicker skews the extra point wide. Oops.

Falcons respond: 6-7 at 6:07

Penix Jr puts the fumble behind him by marching his Falcons down the field for a score of their own. The wide receiver makes some chunky receptions to put them in the scoring area then the seas part for the running back to saunter on to the goal line through the heart of the field for 13 yards. The running back finishes it off for a short scoring run of his own. Advantage Atlanta.

Other Tenth Week Matchups

Additionally, the full slate starting at 12pm CST/1pm EST/6pm GMT (home teams listed first) is as follows:

  • (5-4) Panthers v New Orleans Saints (1-8)

  • (5-3) Bears v Giants (2-7)

  • (3-5) Texans v Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3)

  • (4-4) Minnesota Vikings v Baltimore Ravens (3-5)

What a feast. I’m planting my flag on Minnesota and Baltimore playing out the game of the day.
