Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions towards women.
The firm did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
